Annapurna circuit day 13 bus
Streckencharakteristik: Streckenlänge: 30,11 km, höchster Punkt: 2708 m, tiefster Punkt: 1911 m
From Marpha to Gasa by bus. Because we did not want to walk the road any further we decided to take the bus. You can only get a ticket to Gasa. There you have to change the Bus. The road is in a bad condition and most of the drivers are driving like hell. Not long time ago a Jeep fell down and all People have been killed. Especially in the last row of the bus you will have a hard because it is very pumpy. More information about our whole Asia- and Southamerikatrip you can find at http://www.martin-schmitt.net it is in German Have fun Martin

Annapurna circuit day 13
Streckencharakteristik: Streckenlänge: 14,91 km, höchster Punkt: 1950 m, tiefster Punkt: 1228 m
From Gasa to Tatopani (Trekkers Lodge). In Gasa we waited for an hour with a lot of people to get the next bus, but no bus was coming. Therfore we decided to walk from here to Tatopani and stayed in the trekkers Lodge which is very nice and is close to the hot springs. We enjoyed the hot springs and decided to do a day rest there. The walk from Gasa to Tatopani is nice because there is a path on the right side of the river. So most of the time you do not have to walk on the streets. Annapurna circuit day 12
Streckencharakteristik: Streckenlänge: 16,26 km, höchster Punkt: 2845 m, tiefster Punkt: 2677 m
From Kagbeni to Marpha (Hotel Sunrise). That was a part of the track we did not like. You walk with a lot of Jeeps, Motorbikes and buses passing you. The Landscape is not very interesting and there is a lot of wind. It might be a better to skip that part and go by Jeep. Annapurna circuit day 14
Streckencharakteristik: Streckenlänge: 10,38 km, höchster Punkt: 2043 m, tiefster Punkt: 1193 m
From Tatopani to Shikha (Hotel Serendipity). We liked that part of the trip a lot, because the landscape is green, there are not a lot of people and you pass nice villages. We liked the landscape on the last days so much. Many people skipping this part and will get a long and bumpy bus trip to Pokarah. This is the part of the trek with hundreds of steps leading up the mountain. Annapurna circuit day 11
Streckencharakteristik: Streckenlänge: 14,53 km, höchster Punkt: 3693 m, tiefster Punkt: 2813 m
From Muktinath to Kagbeni (Annapurna Lodge) via Jhong. So we walked on the right side of the river which is much more nicer, but you cross Mustang area. Ask at the checkpoint if you are allowed to walk there without a special permit otherwise you may have to pay a fine. We stayed in a nice Lodge and we love Kagbeni. Annapurna circuit day 15
Streckencharakteristik: Streckenlänge: 9,39 km, höchster Punkt: 3199 m, tiefster Punkt: 1999 m
From Shika to Ghorepani (Hungry Eye Lodge). We went up the mountain on the same day. Most of the people get up very early on the next day to see the sunrise at Poon Hill view point. When you climb up to see the sunrise there are hundreds of people there. In the afternoon you can enjoy the mountain view quite, because there is no one up there. In Ghorepani it becomes more crowded because many people from the other side of the annapurna circuit are arriving from a one or two day trip. http://www.martin-schmitt.net it is in German Have fun Martin

Annapurna circuit day 16
Streckencharakteristik: Streckenlänge: 20,65 km, höchster Punkt: 2875 m, tiefster Punkt: 996 m
From Ghorepani to Naya Pol (end of the trip). We took a bus from there to Phokara. There are many Jeeps there telling you stories about long bus rides or that no buses are coming. We did not believe them and the bus ride was much more cheaper and did not last very long. We stayed a few days in Phokara which is much more relaxed and nicer than Kathmandu. Got our stuff and ourselves clean. We relaxed there for a few days to recover before we took the long bus ride back to Kathmandu.
